2nd runner up ; )
Woot, thanks to anyone who voted for Helen in the Riteaid glamcamp modelsearch. Thanks for your support : ). She didn’t win first place but she was one of two runners up. HOW COOL IS THAT!!!! Hope anyone that was in the path of the storm did okay and is at least on the mend and in good hands with support from family, friends and local support groups. We had a lot of rain and wind and it got cold all of a sudden. It was in the 40′s but felt more like in the 30′s, buurrrrr. The downtown area where I work is a really bad flood zone. This all happened on days when we arn’t open so I just stayed away except for going out to get the crown put on my tooth and trying to get to the shop to check on my beta fighting fish to make sure he was alright. After venturing out to my dentist appt. I thought to myself WHY
did I even get out in this stuff. If I didn’t have the jeep I wouldn’t have been. Then tried to get out to the shop to check on the fish and it wasn’t going to happen because of too much flooding so I just said a prayer for him and got home. Maybe it seems silly to check on a fish but I care for my critters. Anyway, have you ever had to have a root canal? This was my first one and it is amazing how much they cost. I was petrified for one since when my gum had started swelling and it didn’t want to go away I thought I had mouth cancer. Went to the dentist and he said it was the beginnings of an abscese, OMG! I thought it was a one visit thing but you go to a root canal doctor and then go back to your dentist to get the mold of your tooth and the temporary tooth and then go back again for the crown/tooth. All in all I’m glad to have it fixed and that it wasn’t mouth cancer but wow it is amazing to see what dental work can cost. Especially if you don’t have any insurance.

I am going to be going through exactly that type of thing next week. I need to go and have the tooth root canal and then a cleaning and then go back to have it filled and cast. He said it’s a good thing it’s one of the front teeth because they only have one root and they’re easier and less work to save than the back teeth! I was glad to hear that! I had a back tooth done a few years ago and within two years it crumbled and I had to have it extracted.
Good to see you blogging again. And checking on your fish is the good thing to do! I was going to say…. ‘fish are people too!!!’ Bwhahahahaha!
@spinner_mom - LOL, yeah, another person that understands fish are people too, I know it sounds weird but I have him sitting on a shelf at my styling station and I really think he likes it because of all the different customers that come and go and he gets to be a part of it all. He’s a red betta fighting fish and too funny when this lady with really, really red lipstick was over at the fish bowl blowing him kisses and talking baby fish talk to him he got all puffed up flarring out his gills and swiming all around, way too funny. Then I realized it was probably that really red lipstick so I took my (red blowdryer) and put it up to the fish bowl and he got all frisky too. Fun, Fun critter. Will have to take a pic of him.
Good luck with your tooth. Hope all goes well with it. So far so good with this here back tooth. What a fiasco! Good luck with packing : )
