miscellaneous info
Here’s the rainbow slouchy hat I finally finished. It’s the skinniest yarn I’ve ever worked with. A single ply german sock yarn and its knit on size 2 needles (holy-knit-o-la). I really like how it turned out and never thought I’d knit something with yarn that thin but there you have it. I started on another one in a blue handspun yarn that the LYS was selling and that will be in the works for awhile since at the moment I’m going round and round and round till I can begin the decreases for the top. Oy-vay will I ever get there, hmmmmmm. Also, including a picture of a t-shirt I saw while at the thrift store. It was in the 99 cent rack (my favorite rack) and almost bought it but was sticking to my budget and had to make an executive decision so took a pic instead. In case you can’t read it – it says, Keep working for the Lord – the pay isn’t much but the retirement plan is out of this world. Now that I see the rainbow hat posted up next to this shirt they would go together well, Ha, shoulda bought it

That is a gorgeous hat!!! And a darn smart shirt too!
I’ve missed your face around here. You coming back?
Yeah, got my xanga groove back : ). thanks about the hat – looking forward to wearing it. Pulled out all the hats I have’t finished up and will be seaming those up to get out to the local charity before the holidays. I’m lagging behind so got to get a move on with that. They opened a Thrift store for the organization and I’m excited about that. They asked me to come help gooch or spiffy it up. Ha, have you ever tried to dress a window maniquin? I thought easy, right. Not so easy. LOL, ya get half the shirt on then an arm falls off so you got to take the shirt off and put the arm back on and in the mean time the leg falls off and then jewelry gets hung up in the shirt tangleing the hole mess up and the manequin swivels and wants to tip over, ACK!!! who knew, LOL. Then ya go to put shoes on and ya struggle to get one on and then when you go to put the other one on ya didn’t realize its – IMPOSSIBLE – because there is a pole runnin thru the foot to hold the manequin up, (fleeting thoughts of throwing manequin out the window briefly occupy ones mind) so now I know all the ins and outs of getting a manequin dressed, HA.
