Knit stitch
Here’s a pic of the herringbone knit stitch that is used in the, my so called scarf, pattern being used on a I don’t know what it will be yet project. I put this pic up so Lostarts and spinnermom could see howthe back looks. It kinda looks like garter stitch in away. I love this yarn that is karakul and its kinda like jute in a way coarse and hefty. It’s the fiber that was/is used in rug making. I bought it off ebay I think. Its been so long ago that I’m not sure. But its awsome.
I put up both of these pictures even though the second one is awful. But it shows that differrent lighting can give totally different effects.

Cool! I need to work on that stitch a little more. I keep coming up short on stitches after the second row. I must be doing something off. Just haven’t figured out what yet.
Thanks! The back is interesting, too.
Especially thanks for leaving the knitting needle in. The front of it looks like it was knitted sideways from the way it was really knitted, and I wouldn’t have realized that except that the needle is still in it, showing the direction in which it was really knit.
It looks like it’s more dense and less stretchy than some stitch patterns.
I’ll have to sit down and practice that stitch pattern when I get a chance.
